The Arts Centre, Melbourne and the Western Australian Museum are leading the way as the only Australian cultural organisations currently touring a major exhibition of Australian content internationally. AC/DC Australia’s Family Jewels is now on tour to the Kelvingrove Museum and Gallery in Glasgow, Scotland and then to the Experience Music Project in Seattle, Washington. We are very proud during these difficult financial times to be celebrating a great rock ‘n’ roll success story, while also breaking new ground in contemporary culture exhibitions.
Three weeks after the exhibition returned to Melbourne from the Australian tour 33 crates, 428 objects, AV equipment, plus hardware and 16 folders of condition reports were palletized and sent to Glasgow, where the exhibition was re-badged as AC/DC Scotland’s Family Jewels! The fantastic team at Kelvingrove have done a great job on the bump-in and the exhibition has never looked better. All European fans better make sure you get over to Glasgow to see the show while you have the chance!
